This special release marks 80 years of Children’s Book Week and CBCA'S second collaboration with the Erstwilder. Designed by Jess McGeachin, illustrator of this year’s theme Book an Adventure, this limited-run brooch has been crafted from layered resin and features Cal, the deep-sea romantic with a healthy paperback obsession.
A friendly squid with a giant heart, Cal’s a sucker for a good romance novel and often wraps one in each tentacle. The only trouble with paperbacks is that they don’t last long in water.
